The unit makes up the final placement experience of 500 hours, building on the experience gained in the first placement. Students must successfully demonstrate skills, knowledge, and professional attributes necessary for safe, high quality and ethical practice in accordance with the AASW Practice Standards (2013) and Code of Ethics (2010). This unit provides students with the opportunity to undertake critical professional practice. Through the application of consolidated knowledge and skills gained through the course you will develop your identity as an emerging critically oriented and reflective social work practitioner.
