EUN202 Mathematics and Numeracy 2

This unit builds on previous study to assist you with developing a more holistic understanding of mathematics and numeracy, and of yourself as a learner through extended exploration of curriculum, assessment, children's  understanding and teacher instruction. Specific content includes the exploration of mathematical meanings of geometry, algebra, statistics and probability and their application to your life, society and educational contexts for children. If you selected Maths/numeracy as your primary specialisation, additional online modules will be attached to this unit. These modules examine your content and pedagogical knowledge in your chosen primary specialisation. Your primary specialisation will also relate to professional experience units (EUN231 Professional Experience: Informing Professional Practice and EUN232 Professional Experience: Transition to Professional Practice) and the final capstone unit where the teacher performance assessment is embedded (EUN240 Teachers Researching Practice).
