Through music, movement/dance, performance-based media, imaginative play, story and drama, children are provided with ways to experience, understand, appreciate and respond to their worlds. In doing so, children will develop visual, aural, bodily-kinesthetic and aesthetic literacies. This unit explores key ideas about effective curriculum, pedagogy, performing arts works and assessment in the performing arts in primary school contexts from Prep-Year 6. Your work in this unit will be linked to national and state curricular documents, including the Australian Curriculum: The Arts.","title-full":"EUB309 Performing Arts Education","title-short":"Performing Arts Education","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=EUB309&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=EUB309","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=EUB309"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
