It will develop advanced cognitive skills in review, analysis and synthesis in civil infrastructure planning and design contexts, including critical, creative and innovative solutions to complex problems. It stresses the ability to communicate advanced knowledge and concepts in written, modelled and graphical forms to civil engineering professional audiences. It also stresses both independent and collaborative strategies in team working contexts, including reflective practice, to manage a civil infrastructure planning and design project in a timely manner with a focus on delivering outcomes. Emphasis is placed on awareness and understanding of social and economic factors in civil engineering practice, and on ethical practice.","title-full":"EGH479 Advances in Civil Engineering Practice","title-short":"Advances in Civil Engineering Practice","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=EGH479&year=2022","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=EGH479","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=EGH479"},"year":2022,"years":[2022]}
