Students initially develop skills and clinical procedures, which are then incorporated into increasingly complex and integrated clinical simulation focusing on adult resuscitation, trauma, neurological and endocrine presentations as well as obstetrics, gynaecology, sexual health and neonatal care. The unit includes a work-integrated learning component in a paramedic care setting, providing an experiential learning opportunity where students interact with diverse populations, explore the role of paramedics in jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional ambulance settings and learn from registered paramedics and other professionals, exploring the complex relationship between the social determinants of health and health outcomes.","title-full":"CSB357 Integrated Paramedic Practice 2","title-short":"Integrated Paramedic Practice 2","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=CSB357&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=CSB357","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=CSB357"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
