What you'll receive
You'll receive a scholarship of $7,500 for one year, paid in two instalments of $3,750.
Eligibility
You must be one of:
- an Australian citizen (including dual citizens)
- a New Zealand citizen.
You must also be:
- from a low-income background
- experiencing financial hardship
- enrolled in or applying for an undergraduate course.

What happens next?
All applications are assessed against selection criteria. We allocate scholarships based on need. Students with the greatest need will receive the highest value scholarships.
About the scholarship
The Maha and Yoga Sinnathamby Learning Potential Fund Scholarship was established in 2024 by donors Dr Maha Sinnathamby AM and Mrs Yoga Sinnathamby to be awarded to a student undertaking an undergraduate degree.
