About the scholarship
The Learning Potential Fund provides scholarships and bursaries to QUT students experiencing financial hardship, helping them overcome barriers to education and achieve their academic aspirations.
Established in 2026 by QUT Chancellor Ann Sherry AO, the Sherry Learning Potential Fund Scholarship reflects Ann’s longstanding belief in the transformative power of education. A passionate advocate for education and research, Ann recognises their vital role in driving innovation, productivity, and positive social change. Throughout her distinguished career, she has championed opportunities that create life-changing outcomes for individuals and communities.
Through this scholarship, Ann seeks to support two female students who are pursuing their passion for learning through an undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline. The scholarship aims to assist talented and motivated students experiencing financial need, empowering them to realise their potential and contribute to the future of their chosen field.
