What you'll receive
You’ll receive a scholarship valued at $10,000. Two scholarships are offered for 2027.
The scholarship will be paid as a one-time payment of $10,000 in Semester 1, following confirmation of your enrolment after the census date.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a current undergraduate student who, in 2027, will be enrolled in their second year of one of the following eligible Faculty of Science award courses:
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer Science)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Information Systems)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Artificial Intelligence)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Cybersecurity)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Enterprise Computing)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Process Analytics and Automation)
- IN01 Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development)
- IN05 Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments (Software Technologies)
- DS01 Bachelor of Data Science
- IV05 Bachelor of Information Technology/Master of Data Science
- ID29 Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Data Science
- IX22 Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Information Technology
- ID03 Bachelor of Information Technology/ Bachelor of Creative Industries
- ID15 Bachelor of Information Technology/ Bachelor of Design (Interaction Design)
- SE30 Bachelor of Information Technology/Bachelor of Mathematics
- SE50 Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Information Technology
- SE60 Bachelor of Information Technology/ Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer and Software Systems).
To apply for this scholarship, you must:
- identify as a female
- have a course grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 or higher
- be an Australian citizen OR New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident.
- be enrolled as a full-time student at QUT (36 credit points or more per semester).
You must:
- be eager to foster growth and recognition of the contribution of women in STEM professions and the broader community
- be able to effectively balance study with other pursuits
- have the potential to take leadership roles amongst the STEM community
- be able to support and influence others to achieve greater things
- work well and communicate easily with their peers, in teams and with others in the wider STEM community
- be committed to personal awareness and growth.
How to apply
Applications are currently closed. This scholarship is offered each year, with applications usually opening in October. Check back closer to this time for updates.

What happens next?
Applications will be assessed after the close date. Only applications that meet all eligibility criteria will be assessed.
You will be notified if your application is successful or unsuccessful.
Conditions
To keep your scholarship, you must:
- be enrolled full-time in an eligible award course for the duration of the year you are awarded your scholarship.
- maintain a course grade point average (GPA) of 5.0 or higher each semester.
You can't:
- defer your scholarship offer
