What you'll receive

You’ll receive a scholarship valued at $10,000.

The scholarship will be paid as a stipend in two instalments of $2,500 per semester for up to two years, following confirmation of your enrolment after the census date of each semester, commencing Semester 1, 2026.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • identify as female
  • be enrolled as a full-time student at QUT (36 credit points or more per semester)
  • have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 or above.

You must be entering your second year having completed 96 credit points in one the following courses in Semester 1, 2026:

  • EN01 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Civil)
  • EN40 Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)

Double degrees

Students enrolled in one of the following double degree courses majoring in civil engineering and have completed 192 credit points in the engineering degree are eligible:

  • IX59 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Business
  • SE40 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Mathematics
  • SE60 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Information Technology
  • SE80 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Science
  • EV09 Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Project Management.

To apply for this scholarship, you need to complete and submit the online application form by Monday 23 March 2026.

Your application should also include the following attachments:

  • your academic record from the HiQ website
  • your Curriculum Vitae (CV)/resume
  • your written responses to the selection criteria.

What happens next?

Applications will be shortlisted and provided to Mcllwain to finalise the selection of recipients.

If your application is successful, we will notify you via telephone and email.

If your application is not successful, we will notify you by email.
