Scholarship details
What you'll receive
You'll receive a scholarship valued at $10,000 for one year, paid in two instalments of $5,000.
Eligibility
You must:
- be an Indigenous Australian commencing student
- be graduating Year 12 in 2025, or have graduated Year 12 in 2024
- be starting university for the first time in 2026
- have not undertaken/commenced any tertiary study, other than studies in special university programs designed for secondary school students (eg. START QUT)
- have applied for a tertiary place through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) and received a QUT offer in your first preference
- demonstrate exceptionally meritorious academic achievement (assessed on unadjusted Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma)
- have QUT as your first preference at the time of the main December and main January admissions offer rounds
- be commencing a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) award course at QUT in Semester 1, 2026
How to apply
You do not need to complete a scholarship application for the Accenture Indigenous Australian Undergraduate Scholarship. All eligible students who complete a QTAC application in line with QTAC key dates with a QUT course as their first preference will be considered.
What happens next?
We will make offers for scholarships from mid-January 2026.
Conditions
You must:
- be enrolled in an eligible course for the duration of your studies.
You can't:
- defer your scholarship offer
- hold any other scholarship except an Equity Scholarship. If you have any questions about holding other scholarships, contact us at scholarships@qut.edu.au.
Indigenous Australian applicants that have not previously verified their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Descent with the QUT Oodgeroo Unit and are applying for an identified scholarship, must also complete the Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Descent (CATSID) process to confirm eligibility.

About the scholarship
The Accenture Indigenous Australian Undergraduate Scholarship has been established to support and inspire Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people to consider QUT as a destination for higher education, and are to be offered to students who are commencing or undertaking a degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance and resources to help Indigenous Australian students succeed academically.
