QUT opened the doors of its two vibrant campuses to thousands of visitors on Sunday for the university’s 2025 Open Day.
Taking place across the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses on July 27, the event had perfect winter weather for a day of discovery and inspiration.

Hundreds of QUT staff, students and alumni were on hand to assist high school students and prospective mature-age learners with information about courses, careers, entry pathways, and student support.
Visitors enjoyed behind-the-scenes tours, study area advice, talks with students and academics, and the chance to explore campus life and opportunities outside the classroom.

The Gardens Point campus was the hub for those interested in business, law, science, IT, engineering, the built environment and health, while Kelvin Grove focused on education, creative industries, design and health with a packed program of seminars, campus tours and interactive displays.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Sheil said it was great to see the campuses buzzing with future students, families, and community members.
“From informative sessions to engaging conversations, the day offered a real glimpse into what makes QUT special,” Professor Sheil said.

Open Day is QUT’s biggest annual event where people can learn about the university.
But if you weren’t able to attend Open Day, there are plenty of other opportunities to find out more about studying at QUT and ask questions.
Events are held throughout the year, including online seminars for high schoolers, information nights on postgraduate study, and campus tours.
Visit QUT’s study events page for up-to-date information on what’s coming up.
Detailed course outlines are also available online for undergraduate degrees and postgraduate/research opportunities.
The QUT website also has lots of information about flexible study options, pathways and how to apply, support services, uni social life, and fees, costs and scholarships.
