What is the purpose of this research?
The purpose of this research project is to gather feedback from the Australian public on co-designed informational resource/s on pharmacogenomics. Pharmacogenomics is the study that looks at genes (DNA) to help choose medications.
Are you looking for people like me?
You are invited to participate in this research project if you are a member of the Australian public aged 18 and older.
What will you ask me to do?
Participation will involve completing up to a 64-item questionnaire with multiple choice, Likert scale answers (strongly agree – strongly disagree) and/or open-text questions that will take about 60 minutes.
Are there any risks for me in taking part?
There are no risks beyond normal day-to-day living associated with your participation in this research project.
Participation in the online survey may involve minor discomfort when answering questions or providing feedback on the resources. You may stop the survey at any time. Survey responses are anonymous.
Are there any benefits for me in taking part?
It is expected that this research project will not benefit you directly. The outcomes of the research, however, may benefit the general Australian public by helping to develop a pharmacogenomics resource that is applicable to the public.
Will I be compensated for my time?
To recognise your contribution should you choose to participate the research team is offering you the chance to win 1 of 40 x $50 online Prezzee gift vouchers at the end of the survey. We will require an email address to forward the gift voucher via a separate link to maintain anonymity
Note the opening date for entries is 1 September, 2026 and the closing date for entries is 30 November, 2026. The draw will take place two weeks after the date of closing the survey.
