What is the purpose of this research?
The purpose of this research project is to explore the current use of 3D scanning and gait analysis technologies in a clinical podiatry setting. You are invited to participate in this research project because you are a practicing podiatrist.
Are you looking for people like me?
The research team is inviting AHPRA registered podiatrists who have been active in performing gait analysis and/or prescribing orthoses in the last 12 months to participate in this research.
What will you ask me to do?
Participation will involve completing a up to 25 item questionnaire with multiple choice and free text responses that will take about 10mins to complete.
Are there any risks for me in taking part?
The research team does not believe there are any risks beyond normal day-to-day living associated with your participation in this research.
It should be noted that if you do agree to participate you can withdraw from participation in the research project without comment or penalty, however due to the anonymous nature of the survey once your responses have been recorded it will not be possible to withdraw them.
Are there any benefits for me in taking part?
It is expected that this research project will not directly benefit you. The outcomes of the research, however, may improve understanding of the current technologies being used in clinical practice and help to inform the development of future technologies used in clinical practice. You can request a summary of the outcomes of the study by providing your email address at the close of the survey.
Will I be compensated for my time?
No, but we would very much appreciate your participation in this research.
