The review seeks to engage both students and staff to ensure that university policies align closely with student needs and continue to support their success.
Student representative and QUT Guild President, Vinnie Batten, emphasised the need for university policy to reflect the diverse and complex lives of QUT students.
"It is imperative that students and staff—from across faculties and divisions—work in partnership to develop policies that focus on the welfare and well-being of all students," Vinnie said.
The QUT Guild has worked together with Professor Suzi Derbyshire, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) and Dr Caroline Rueckert, Director of Student Success, to develop a steering group to conduct the review.

The group will focus on deep engagement and a high level of consultation with students and staff from across the university to ensure all voices are heard and listened to.
"We are excited to partner with the Guild to ensure that we work together proactively to support students' wellbeing and success," Dr Rueckert said.
The partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to deliver outcomes that are representative of the entire QUT community and position student wellbeing at the centre of university policies.
The steering group will put forward recommendations for the QUT’s academic governance committees to be implemented in 2020.
