About the fund
Our Student Managed Investment Fund is designed to provide our students with hands-on experience in managing a real investment portfolio.
The fund was created in 2018 to provide unparalleled practical learning experiences for students by cementing the theories learned in class through immediate real-world applications.
The QUT Student Managed Investment Fund is funded by the QUT Business School and donations from external donors.
As the fund becomes profitable, the profits will go towards our Learning Potential Fund which provides student scholarships.
How will it benefit students?
With our Student Managed Investment Fund opportunities, our students will:
- improve their understanding of investment analysis
- gain insights into practices employed in the investment management industry
- benefit from exposure to investment advisors, professional fund managers and other industry practitioners.
The Student Managed Investment Fund will allow participating students to develop all-round skills as finance graduates thereby enhancing their employment prospects within the sector.
