Real Health Panel – Navigating Trauma Care

This is a free event.

The panel discussion will bring together leading clinicians, patients with lived experience researchers, rehabilitation engineers, and insurance scheme regulators to outline the complexities of traumatic injury care, rehabilitation and the escalating associated costs.

QUT Classic

Complete 1km, 5km or 10km at the all-inclusive, family-friendly community running event, held annually in support of the QUT Learning Potential Fund (LPF), which helps students like Bob Cuthbert break from the cycle of poverty and paves the way for a brighter future. QUT Sport donates a portion from every registration to the LPF, with more than $31,500 raised since 2011!


New York networking event: The Science of Saving Koalas

Join us in New York for drinks and networking with fellow Australian expats with a dose of cute cuddly koalas. Hosted by The Hon Steven Marshall AO, President of The American Australian Association, hear about how world leading researchers from Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, QUT and UQ are saving koalas from extinction and get a behind-the-scenes virtual tour through the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

This is a free event.

No matter where you are in life - whether you’re changing careers or returning to further your career in your current discipline, this webinar will provide advice on the information you need to make the first step, including asking current students about how they manage study, work and life.


QUT's Pathways to Politics for Women

This is a free program. The program participation is funded through the generous support of the Trawalla Foundation and QUT.

Open to female Queensland residents wanting to drive change through political leadership, QUT's Pathways to Politics provides a safe space for women of diverse backgrounds, professions, cultures, and ideologies to fulfil their shared aspiration to pursue public office and lead our country into the future.


TEDxQUT Salon: Mind your Head - how to manage headaches

In this interactive, science-based workshop with clinician and educator Luka Botic, you’ll learn how to recognise different types of headaches (including tension-type and migraine patterns), understand how posture, stress, and study habits contribute to them, and explore what the research actually says about effective headache management.


QUT Entrepreneurship Open Pitch nights

This is a free event.

Pitch your idea, business or social enterprise to a live audience for feedback, to practice, or to search for a new team member or investment. Facilitated by an Industry Professional to guide you and open to all abilities from those starting out as an entrepreneur, or those with more experience, Open Pitch night is the perfect place to learn the ropes in a safe environment and to meet other like-minded people interested in innovation, startups, new business and entrepreneurship.
