Biography
Rudi Messner is a researcher and lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology. He received a Mphil degree from University of Vienna in Chinese Studies and a PhD from the QUT Business School with a thesis on the paradoxical economy of food waste prevention in Australian horticultural supply chains. For more than 25 years Rudi held senior executive positions in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, mostly in China, where he gained valuable experience on sustainability of large-scale systems of production and consumption.
