Dr Moid Sandhu

Biography
Dr Moid Sandhu received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 2012 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from The University of Queensland, Australia, in 2022. He then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC), CSIRO, in Brisbane.
He is currently a Research Scientist at AEHRC, CSIRO, where he focuses on digital health, wearable technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), context detection, energy harvesting, pervasive computing, collaborative learning, and embedded machine learning.
Dr Sandhu is the author of the book Self-Powered Internet of Things: How Energy Harvesters Can Enable Energy-Positive Sensing, Processing, and Communication and has published extensively in leading venues such as IEEE PerCom, IEEE EMBC, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and IEEE Sensors Journal.
He graduated with a Gold Medal and an Academic Roll of Honor for the highest achievement in his bachelor’s degree and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
