Dr Maria Kleshnina

Biography
Dr Maria Kleshnina is a game theorist whose research explores how inequality, information, and decision-making policies shape social interactions and cooperation. She applies insights from behavioral and evolutionary sciences to improve environmental decision-making. She is a Lecturer in the School of Mathematical Sciences at QUT, an ARC DECRA Fellow, Chief Investigator with the Applied Mathematical Ecology Group (AMEG), the Securing Antarctica’s Environmental Future (SAEF) initiative, and for the Center for Environment and Society. Dr Kleshnina previously held fellowships at the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse and the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, and earned her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Queensland in 2019.Personal details
