Biography
Dr. Durba Kundu is a transportation researcher trained in civil and transportation engineering, with research experience in public transport systems, travel behaviour analysis, and data-based transport studies. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney, Australia. Her doctoral research focused on the analysis of transit smartcard data to understand diversity in travel habits, behavioural responses under disrupted conditions, and random variation in public transport demand. This work sought to improve the use of large-scale administrative transport data by giving careful attention to behavioural variation and contextual change in everyday travel.
