Discover how to enter the High School Moot Competition including eligibility and key dates.
Eligibility
To compete in the QUT High School Moot Competition you must be:
- in Year 11 or 12 and enrolled in high school as a full-time student at the time of the moot competition rounds
- given permission by your teacher
- enthusiastic about law and networking opportunities
- available to participate in person at the competition rounds (3-4 August, 11 August 2024).
Your team must:
- consist of 2-3 students in total, from the same school
- be accompanied by an adult teacher/mentor if they're participating in the competition rounds.
Teams can consist of any combination of students enrolled in Year 11 and 12, and a school can register up to two teams each year.

Held in-person at Gardens Point Campus, Brisbane.
What happens next?
The problem will be released online and you'll have five weeks to submit a written solution.
Registered teams will be invited to participate in an online coaching session with a member of the QUT Law Society.
A panel of judges will assess the written submissions and choose finalists. We’ll email you to let you know the outcome of your submission.
