Community Development Module: An Introduction to Community Engagement This module challenges students to think about approaches to sustainable community development, and examine assumptions and stereotypes in health and education.
Integrating New Digital Technologies in Teaching and Learning This module explores new technologies including robotics and video games in classrooms.
Mentoring for Effective Teaching Students develop professionally by conducting analysis of their own mentoring practices against evidence of effective mentoring practices.
Philosophical Inquiry: Facilitating thinking in the classroom This course provides an overview of the discipline of Philosophy, and the skills needed by teachers to introduce Philosophy within schools.
Primary Mathematics Curriculum Innovations This module will help participants identify current issues in the teaching of primary mathematics education.
Professional Learning and Science Education: Early Years/Primary Years/Secondary Years This module provides a case analysis of science teaching and learning issues using the teachers as classroom examples.
Professional Learning and Science Education: National Curriculum (Early Years/Primary Years/Secondary Years) This module explores the implementation and assessment of national curriculum in the sciences.
Technical Innovations in Practice This module is for teachers in schools faced with the need to develop novel pedagogical approaches in response to ICT policy directors and resource provision.
Technology and Change In Secondary Mathematics: Probability, Modelling and Problem-Solving This course provides secondary mathematics teachers with the skills to use technology when teaching select topics, in order to meet QSA syllabus objectives.
