In this situation, choices must be made about what services to fund, how they should be delivered and to whom they should be provided. Economic analyses can be applied to these questions; and the wider goal is to allocate scarce health care resources efficiently. The findings from economic analyses should be easy to interpret and should signal how funding might be optimally distributed. This unit is aimed at healthcare professionals and individuals in public, commercial and academic organisations interested in healthcare resource allocation and innovation. It will improve understanding of priority setting and expose participants to the methods of economic evaluation of healthcare interventions.","title-full":"PUN018 Economic Evaluation for Healthcare Decision Making","title-short":"Economic Evaluation for Healthcare Decision Making","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=PUN018&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=PUN018","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=PUN018"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
