We see movement of people for business, tourism, migration and political refuge at historically high levels. Mass internal migration in many countries is creating densely populated and polluted megacities. These changes have prompted the United Nations to develop Sustainable Development Goals to 2030, and created new challenges for public health in controlling infectious diseases, environmental toxins and lifestyle-related problems. Health systems change rapidly too. Global and national health agencies must adapt and refocus energies to deal with new challenges. Health professionals are moving throughout the world as the market for skilled people becomes more fluid and, in many ways, more exciting than ever before. PUB565 builds on knowledges learnt in PUB215, PUB209, PUB561 and PUB326. This unit provides the core knowledge essential for all public health practitioners to meet future challenges in global health.","title-full":"PUB565 International Health","title-short":"International Health","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=PUB565&year=2022","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=PUB565","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=PUB565"},"year":2022,"years":[2022]}
