In this advanced postgraduate unit, you will gain in-depth knowledge about the type of electrical generators used in wind generation systems and their control. In particular, the modelling of squirrel cage, synchronous, and doubly-fed induction generators will be discussed in detail. You will also learn how power electronic converters are interfaced with wind power generators, including the modulation and control of these converters. Finally, you will learn how multiple wind turbines are connected and controlled in the context of wind farms.","title-full":"ENN502 Control of Renewable Electrical Energy Systems - Wind","title-short":"Control of Renewable Electrical Energy Systems - Wind","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=ENN502&year=2024","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=ENN502","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=ENN502"},"year":2024,"years":[2024]}
