Develop the skills to succeed in your study and assessment with resources, interactive workshops, drop-in support, 1-1 appointments with a coach or educator, all tailored to your study area. You can get help with:
- academic writing
- researching and referencing
- spoken communication
- maths, science, and IT skills
This support is available to undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate coursework students.

Career support
We can assist with course and career planning through self-serve and online resources, events, workshops and drop-in support sessions. Career Educators and student partners cover many topics, such as:
- course uncertainty
- career direction and planning
- mock job interviews
- difficulties with the job search process
- identifying developed skills
- discussions about postgraduate options.
Coaching
As a QUT student, you’ll have access to free, one-on-one coaching in a flexible, low-pressure environment, tailored to your needs.
You can work on your weekly schedule and semester plan, overcome procrastination, or find balance with your work, study and social commitments. Whatever your goals, we’ve got you.
Coaching is accessible online or in-person.
Learning Hubs and Peer support
Located within the library on both campuses, the Learning Hubs are ideal spaces to connect with other students, and access Educator and peer-led study and career support.
Peer Programs connect you with current students who are specially trained as peer leaders. They will share their study area specific knowledge and tips to help you succeed in your studies.
Oodgeroo Unit
The Oodgeroo Unit provides empowering educational and support programs and spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, to support them on their journey through higher education.
