Program

The international double master’s program at QUT offers you a unique opportunity to earn two degrees, one from QUT and one from Maastricht University:

  • Master of Business degree (Marketing major / Integrated Marketing Communication major) from QUT Business School
  • Master of Science degree in International Business, (specialisation in Strategic Marketing) from Maastricht University School of Business and Economics

In addition to the coursework, you will also complete a research project.

Eligibility

Entry into this program is competitive. There are general eligibility requirements that all students must meet, and then specific eligibility requirements for Maastricht University.

General eligibility requirements

In all programs, you must:

  • have an offer to study in the QUT Master of Business
  • be nominated by QUT, then accepted by the partner university.

Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE) eligibility requirements

As well as meeting the general eligibility criteria, you must also have:

  • a grade point average (GPA) of 5.5 on QUT's 7-point scale during your undergraduate studies or earn a GPA of 5.0 or higher in your postgraduate studies after completing at least 48 credit points in a business-related course
  • an offer to study the QUT Master of Business with a chosen major in marketing or integrated marketing communication
  • completed 24 credit points at QUT before leaving for exchange.  You may be required to complete some studies at QUT before starting your exchange program at Maastricht University. Contact us for more information.

Costs

While studying at our partner university, you will still be required to pay your QUT tuition fees. In addition, you will need to cover other expenses such as travel costs, living expenses, books and supplies, health insurance, and personal insurance, as required.

How to apply

If you're interested in pursuing an international double master’s degree in addition to QUT's Master of Business, please note that a separate application process is required. This entails completing two distinct applications - one for the International Double Master’s degree and another for the QUT Master of Business.

You can apply for the international double master’s degree either before starting your QUT master’s program (once you've received an offer) or at any point during your studies. If you'd like to apply for the program, please contact us.
