About this program
This engineering program is delivered through the Queensland International School of Engineering (QISE), a partnership between Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Dalian University of Technology (DUT). Delivered at DUT's Panjin Campus in China, the program draws on the academic expertise and approved curriculum of both QUT and DUT while providing students with the opportunity to study in a Chinese educational environment with access to the resources, facilities and support of both institutions.

Areas of specialisation
Computer and software systems engineering
Within the QISE program, students specialising in computer and software systems engineering learn the fundamental theories of computer science, master modern information technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, and software engineering, and acquire the ability to engage in research, design, and development work in fields such as computer systems, software development, intelligent applications, and engineering innovation.

Medical engineering
This program is geared towards the 'Healthy China 2030' strategy and the global needs of medical technology development, cultivating interdisciplinary innovative talents with a solid foundation in science, engineering, and medicine, and an international perspective. Students will learn about electronic information technology, artificial intelligence, biomaterials, medical imaging, computer science, and biochemistry, and will be equipped with the ability to conduct research, development, and application in fields such as medical equipment, medical imaging, biomaterials, medical robotics, health management, and rehabilitation engineering.

Course structure
The program consists of 384 credit points and is delivered at DUT's Panjin Campus in China over eight 16-week teaching periods (four years full-time).
QUT delivers 192 credit points of the program and DUT delivers the remaining 192 credit points through an integrated teaching model.
