Outstanding students from the QUT Faculty of Health have been celebrated for their dedication, impact and achievement across the 2025 academic year.
Across two Awards Ceremonies, QUT Faculty of Health students were recognised for exceptional academic performance, clinical capability, leadership and meaningful contributions to the Faculty and broader community throughout the 2025 academic year.
Representing the Schools of Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Nursing, Psychology and Counselling, and Public Health and Social Work, award recipients collectively received 117 prizes, scholarships, bursaries and grants, with a total value exceeding $200,000.
Distinguished Professor Patsy Yates, Executive Dean, Faculty of Health highlighted the significance of the ceremonies, noting that they provide an important opportunity to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of our students, while also recognising the vital role of corporate and philanthropic partners in supporting student success.
This year’s program saw the introduction of several new awards and scholarships. A highlight included the announcement of the inaugural Rhonda and Terry White Community Pharmacy Scholarship, awarded to Jessica Stack, a final year Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) student with a demonstrated commitment to utilising the full scope of pharmacist prescribing in their future career.
Jessica Chadburn was recognised as the recipient of the RACQ – Aiden Guimaraes Memorial Research Scholarship, a new scholarship established to honour the legacy of Aiden Guimaraes by supporting a PhD candidate’s research into road safety for children and/or active transport.
