Citation

This study developed a community-based, creative facilitation methodology designed to build communal resilience. The project is positioned within the social and cultural values inherent in the queer community. When combined with co-design methods, the result is an approach to community facilitation that helps participants explore their identity while developing a unified sense of community. The key project saw a group of queer, Brisbane-based people utilise costume-making to create a group project. The resulting methodology has since been utilised across additional community projects, proving its applicability to diverse communities.

Determinants of Quality in the Design, Development and Evaluation of Digital Health Programs

Citation

Digital health programs (DHPs) offer accessible, uninterrupted, evidence-based intervention and support. Their ubiquity may pose risks unless essential design and development principles are followed. To date no comprehensive, theoretically robust, easy-to-use framework exists to determine their quality and facilitate regulation. This project aimed to fill this gap through systematically identifying essential quality determinants, involving international multidisciplinary expertise and using innovative Delphi/co-design methodology. The resulting eHealth and mHealth Program Evaluation and Certification Tool (emPACT) demonstrates strong statistical reliability and validity. It can empower designers, developers, researchers, health professionals, regulatory institutions, and end users to determine and ensure DHP quality and safety.
