Design for a Just World

Design for a Just World brings together researchers, designers, community organisations, industry partners and innovators to explore how design can respond to some of society’s most pressing challenges.

In collaboration between the QUT Centre for Justice and QUT Design Lab, this event will showcase innovative research and real-world partnerships across housing, ageing, textiles and fashion, disability, health technology, menstruation, menopause and sanitation.

From developing housing solutions to advancing textile and fashion justice, designing accessible technologies, and challenging gendered experiences of menstruation and sanitation, Design for a Just World asks how we can use design to identify injustice, amplify lived experience and create meaningful change.

Join us for an afternoon of thought-provoking ideas, collaborative practice and conversations about the role of design in building a fairer future.
