Power of Engineering for year 8 and 9 female students

The redesigned program is a half day experience and offered to Year 8 & 9 female students, aligning with the key decision-making time for senior subjects.

Date: Wednesday 21 July 
Time: 9:00–11:00am or 12:00–2:00pm
Location: Brisbane schools will be allocated an industry experience based on proximity to school.

Program

30 minutes:

What is engineering?
QUT engineering student

1.5 hours:

Industry activity (e.g. site tour, workshop or speed networking with engineering staff)
Host industry partner

Teachers are invited to nominate female students in Year 8 or 9.  We will be taking bookings for:

• 10 students + 1 teacher (pre-paid voucher for maxi taxi transport) OR
• 18 – 22 students + teacher (pre-booked mini buses)

Industry partners to be confirmed: Boeing, AECOM, Qantas, Telstra, SEQ Water, TMR, Queens Wharf, Cross River Rail and many more.
