About Cindy Hook
Cindy Hook is an outstanding business leader with more than 35 years of global leadership experience across three continents.
US born, Cindy spent three decades working for professional services giant Deloitte – including four years as Australian CEO, leading the firm to four consecutive years of revenue growth and four years as the inaugural Asia Pacific CEO. In her current role as CEO of Brisbane 2032, Cindy Hook is responsible for leading all aspects of organising the Games to create an outstanding experience for the athletes and spectators and leave a positive legacy for Brisbane, Queensland, and Australia.
At the QUT Business Leaders' Forum, Cindy will speak to her personal leadership story, the key challenges she has faced, and the leadership qualities that matter to her. She will outline the key planning issues for the Games and her strategies for strengthening community support for the event. She will outline why in steering the world’s greatest show here in Queensland, it will be a unique experience which leaves a lasting, impactful legacy for the State.
Recognised for accelerating change, Cindy’s leadership is anchored in a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and health and wellbeing as drivers of business success. Cindy currently serves on the board of Great Barrier Reef Foundation and has held positions on Chief Executive Women, the Economic Development Board of Singapore and the Asia Corporate Leadership Council.
