The QUT Faculty of Health offers a range of scholarships, bursaries and prizes to domestic and international students that recognise high academic achievement, clinical excellence and contributions to the QUT community, as well as provide support in cases of financial hardship or educational disadvantage, and towards the cost of undertaking placements.
Sponsored by corporate partners and philanthropic donors, these awards are a great way for organisations and individuals to impact the future of QUT health students, while gaining access to the next generation of health professionals. Student award recipients value and benefit from the recognition, as well as the opportunity to engage with industry.

Your impact
'The Garawa Scholarship has been the most rewarding scholarship I have received while at university. It allowed me to travel to Borroloola in the Northern Territory to complete a four-week remote clinical placement. The nursing skills I developed from this placement were invaluable as these were things not taught in class. The support from the QUT School of Nursing, Borroloola Health Clinic, and NT Health helped make this experience memorable. My passion and love for remote area nursing in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities has broadened and made me feel confident with my future aspirations.'
