A bold, long-term vision for QUT's campuses

The QUT Campus Master Plan sets a bold, long-term direction for how the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses will evolve to support the way the QUT community learns, works and connects.

It provides a high-level framework to guide development, investment and renewal over the next decade, positioning both campuses as vibrant, collaborative hubs of innovation and creativity that enrich learning and research, strengthen student life and support a high-quality staff experience.

About the Campus Master Plan

The plan outlines the key planning concepts, priorities and campus directions that will guide QUT's next stage of campus evolution. It reflects five years of engagement with staff, students, industry partners and the broader community, highlighting recurring themes such as:

  • safer and more accessible campuses
  • clearer wayfinding
  • vibrant and welcoming spaces for study and connection
  • flexible teaching and learning environments
  • visible research and innovation areas
  • stronger campus identity and precinct connections.

Guided by campus, citymaking and commercial lenses, the plan strengthens QUT's alignment with major city and state priorities including the Victoria Park redevelopment, Brisbane's Knowledge Corridor, nearby health precincts and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It provides a strategic direction for enhancing connectivity, activating public spaces, supporting flexible learning and workplace environments, promoting sustainable design and enabling new partnership opportunities.
