Dr Vishal Bellie Subramani

Biography
Dr Vishal Bellie Subramani is a Postdoctoral fellow specialising in chemical and bio-process engineering, with a strong focus on sustainable waste-to-energy conversion and advanced biofuels. Dr. Subramani earned his PhD from QUT, Brisbane, Australia (2020-2024). His doctoral research focused on "Valorisation of cotton gin trash through lignin-first approach and co-liquefaction studies for value-added products". He previously completed a Master of Engineering in Energy Engineering at the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, India (2005-2007). He also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India (2001-2005), graduating with First Class with Distinction.
With over a decade of experience across academia and industry, he brings extensive expertise in experimental design, data analytics, and interdisciplinary research. His current work centres on the co-liquefaction of biomass and plastic waste, upgrading of bio-oils, and the valorisation of process residues for energy storage applications.
Dr Subramani has held research and academic positions in both Australia and India, where he has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, and contributed to curriculum development.
