Dr Ignatius Chukwudi

Biography

Ignatius Chukwudi is a Lecturer in Information Systems and the Subject Area Coordinator of the School of Information Systems (IS SAC). He is actively involved in teaching and scholarship in enterprise computing, cybersecurity, digital health, digital innovation, and human factors in information systems, with a particular interest in how human behaviour and organisational contexts influence technology use and security outcomes.

In his teaching and research, Ignatius is known for integrating real-world case studies, applied learning, and contemporary industry practices into the classroom. His units emphasise critical thinking, responsible technology use, and an understanding of human error and decision-making in complex digital environments. He is especially committed to helping students bridge the gap between technical knowledge and practical, organisational realities.

Ignatius holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Systems from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). He has published in high-quality journals and conferences, such as the Journal of Medical Internet Research, npj Digital Medicine, and the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), among others.

He works closely with colleagues and students to foster collaborative learning environments and to support innovation in curriculum design. He contributes to teaching and learning initiatives within his discipline and maintains strong engagement with emerging trends in enterprise systems, digital health, digital twins, and cybersecurity education. He is an accredited higher degree by research supervisor and actively recruits Honours, MPhil, and PhD students.
