Biography
I am an ecologist with a focus on the evolution and conservation of Antarctic and sub-Antarctic biodiversity. I have used a wide range of genetic techniques to reveal new species, evolutionary histories and biological invasion pathways, and am currently using image analysis together with remote sensing to examine the impact of glacial retreat on biodiversity. Ultimately, my research aims to inform environmental management of this vulnerable region of the world. I am also passionate about science outreach and work part-time developing science communication products for conservation and research institutes, to help foster public engagement in science.Personal details
