Biography
Haunnah Rheault is a Senior Lecturer of Nursing at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) alongside a current practicing Nurse Practitioner in the field of cardiology.Haunnah has devoted her nursing career to care for individuals living with heart disease and heart failure. Haunnah embeds research into practice and was the first Nurse Practitioner to be a principal investigator at The Prince Charles Hospital and is a clinical mentor to Nurse Practitioner students.
Haunnah's research is published across a wide range of journals (BMC Health Services Research, The Collegian, Journal of Clinical Nursing, European Heart Journal, The Lancet, JACC Journals) with an interest in First Nations people's health, health equity, mixed methods research, and health literacy.

Haunnah was awarded the Deans's commendation for outstanding Doctoral thesis in 2022 at QUT, and most recently admitted to the University of Tasmania Roll of Excellence for 2024 on the basis of outstanding academic performance in the Graduate Certificate of Addiction Studies for Health Professionals.

Teaching
Dr Haunnah Rheault teaches into the Masters of Nurse Practitioner program and primary care postgraduate program.
Experience
Dr Haunnah Rheault is a current practicing Nurse Practitioner at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Brisbane in the Advanced heart Failure & Transplant Unit. Haunnah engages closely with industry partners being both a principal investigator and co-investigator with QUT, CSIRO, QLD Heart Failure Services and industry RCTs at TPCH.
Haunnah is actively involved with mentoring NP students in her clinic at TPCH.
