Scootle

Scootle includes learning resources from the National Digital Learning Resources Network, which is managed by Education Services Australia on behalf on the Standing Council for School Education and Early Childhood (SCSEEC).

It has an extensive range of digital resources to support learning, teaching and collaboration that is linked directly to the Australian Curriculum and includes materials developed through the Learning Federation initiative.

You will need a login, available from your school or sector to access many of the resources on the site.

BlackWords (AustLit)

BlackWords, a specialist collection in AustLit, is a comprehensive database of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander publications. It includes information about the lives and works of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander writers and storytellers.

All Australian schools have free access to AustLit, and access is also available through subscribing libraries and institutions.

National Film and Sound Archive Indigenous Collection

The National Film and Sound Archive Indigenous Collection holds moving image and sound recordings of Indigenous Australians from the late 19th century on, as well as documents and artefacts. The collection includes documentaries, home videos, ethnographic recordings, oral histories, spoken word performances, scrapbooks and photographs.

The National Museum of Australia has a large collection of artefacts, with related stories and resources accessible through their website.
