School seminar series
Monthly seminar series including presentations from internal and external speakers.
The key objective of these seminars is to allow us all to connect better with the exciting research being carried out across the School and the wider SEQ research community as well as to provide opportunities for us to broaden our perspectives and science.
We warmly welcome all staff, students and collaborators to attend these seminars and particularly encourage engagement from students and early-mid career researchers.
WIL program
Work integrated Learning (WIL) is an integral part of curriculum design and delivery in our Health courses. We value real-world learning, which integrates theory, knowledge and skills of a discipline with professional and contemporary practice.
Our WIL program connects industry partners and clinicians with students through placements in their workplaces. Placements provide an opportunity for our students to gain hands-on, real-time experience in preparation for entering the workforce, and develop connections with professionals within their field. Placements provide our industry and clinical partners with an opportunity to contribute to the quality of professional practice, explore new ideas, and support the development of future talent.
Our placements take place in a variety of biomedical settings, including public and private hospitals, private clinics, biotech startups, med tech companies, and other professional organisations.
QUT Body bequest program
By joining QUT's Body Bequest Program, you will help to provide essential, high quality medical research, education and training for health professionals such as surgeons, doctors, nurses and allied health workers.
Future You Summit
QUT’s Future You Summit is a conference style event providing students in Year 11 and 12 a taste or university life. Students will have the opportunity to expand their skill sets beyond the classroom and explore future career ambitions with like-minded peers.
