Summary
He is an active researcher who also enjoys collaborating with real life industrial contexts and find solutions for industrial systems using his insight on the concepts of mechanical engineering. He is deeply involved in the economic and environmental analysis of energetic systems, unit operations and processes. He has mentored and leaded the SMEs and innovation-oriented businesses in science and technology parks and has shared his experiences in international conferences, the later in Berlin, Germany on “Innovation and Technology based SMEs: How can Universities trigger or contribute?”. He teaches HVAC, applied fluid mechanics in industrial processes, CFD, advanced engineering mathematics and numerical analysis.
Research Focus
He initiated “Bioenergy Lab” at Urmia University in 2012 funded from external grants. In this lab, he conducted several research streams on solar energy and biomass conversion methodologies. Through networking with prestigious research centres and high-profile researchers, the outcomes were published in high impact journals and presented in national and international conferences. He organised and monitored workshops on “steam engineering”, “exergy analysis”, “4E concept in industry” and “technology management” where a diverse range of audience from university to industrial managers participated. He works on the economic and environmental consequences of energy systems, particularly in biosystems engineering adopting energy, exergy, economy and environment (4E) framework.
Expertise related to UN Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
