Gardens Point is our inner-city Brisbane campus, located next to the Brisbane River, the Botanic Gardens and Parliament House.

Getting to Gardens Point campus

Public transport

You can travel to and from Gardens Point by bus, train, CityCat (ferry) or taxi.

The campus has its own CityCat stop, and is a short walk from Central and South Bank train stations, and King George Square and Queen Street bus stations.

All public transport in South-East Queensland is run by TransLink.

Discount travel for students

You may be entitled to cheaper fares if you have a valid student ID and meet all of Translink's eligibility criteria. See Translink's concession fares for tertiary students for more information.

Parking

Limited paid parking is available on campus.

There are also commercial car parks within walking distance in the CBD and at South Bank.

Cycling

QUT staff and students who cycle to campus have access to secure bike racks, lockers and showers. You must park your bike in the approved racks. We also offer on-campus end-of-trip facilities in P Block.

Members of the YMCA can request access to secure end-of-trip facilities by emailing Parking Services.

Brisbane City Council has maps of bikeways and shared pathways around the city, as well as information about bike parking and facilities, and taking your bike on public transport.

International students arriving in Brisbane

If you're travelling from overseas to study with us, we offer a 24-hour airport reception service for international students. We'll pick you up and take you to your accommodation in Brisbane.

Travelling between campuses

QUT staff and students have access to:

• a free shuttle bus that travels regularly between our Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses
• a free night shuttle bus that drops people off at major car parks in the city, and Central and Roma Street train stations.
