Starting uni in 2026? QUT will hold Welcome Week for all its new students from February 16 to 20 - plus other orientation activities over summer in the lead-up to Semester 1.

At Welcome Week first-year students can: \;

attend orientation events\, workshops and seminars
explore QUT'\;s huge range of student clubs and societies
find out about opportunities to play sport at QUT\, including esports.

QUT will also host other orientation events over summer\, including:

Early Birds Orientation \;on December 10
Non School Leaver coffee catch up \;on December 11
New to QUT - International Students \;sessions from December 16 to February 12
Parents\, Carers\, and Partners Information Session \;on February 9
Pre-Orientation Program (POP) for \;Indigenous Australian students from February 9 to 13
Remote and Regional Student Coffee Catch Up \;on February 10
Non-School Leaver Welcome Session \;on February 13
