QUT CareerCon - Future Leaders’ Forum
Industry leaders are invited to join \;the QUT CareerCon headline event\, to engage directly with QUT student leaders and build meaningful connections with the next generation of talent across all disciplines. Plus hear from industry professionals who studied at QUT and are now driving impact within a global technology organisation.
The afternoon consists of two parts: a moderated conversation followed by facilitated networking\, with the flexibility to attend both or just the networking.
Part 1: Live Q&\;A with David McKeering\, Executive Managing Director\, ANZ\, and Alana Steele\, Head of People Experience and Internal Communications at NTT DATA\, who will share insights into how AI and emerging technologies are shaping careers\, in a conversation moderated by QUT student and 7NEWS Reporter\, Sameel Deoji.
Part 2: Facilitated networking session connecting you directly with QUT student leaders from all disciplines in a structured session designed to support meaningful career conversations and relationship building\, over drinks and canapé\;s. \;

David McKeering\, Executive Managing Director\, ANZ\, NTT DATA
David is a senior executive and leader committed to delivering value for clients\, organisations and employees. He is highly regarded for his strategic business leadership and focus on execution through transformation. David&rsquo\;s experience in executive-level client engagements spans national and multinational corporations in industry sectors and markets across Australia\, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. Passionate about people\, David nurtures talent and diversity\, creating and inspiring inclusive\, high-performance cultures. \;
Alana Steele\, Head of People Experience and Internal Communications\, NTT DATA
With 25 years&rsquo\; experience across Australia\, the UK and Japan\, Alana has led enterprise communications and engagement in complex\, highly regulated organisations\, coaching C suite and senior leaders through major change to strengthen their leadership voice\, engagement style and executive presence. Alana completed a Bachelor of Education at QUT.
Sameel Deoji\, QUT Communications and Business Student and 7NEWS Reporter
Sameel is completing his final semester at QUT\, before graduating in August with a double degree: Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) / Bachelor of Business (Management). Sameel also works as a TV reporter\, producer and social media producer with 7NEWS. Outside of work\, Sameel loves (attempting) to cook and enjoys diving into a page-turning mystery book.
