You'll learn how to develop design and computational thinking in future students, enabling them to create designed solutions to address authentic problems and opportunities. Practical experiences and communities of practice development are important features of the unit and you'll become aware of the nature of technology and technological literacy and how it connects with the knowledge and skills developed in mathematics, science and digital literacies units. You'll explore and develop skills to teach the Technologies learning area in early childhood and primary education.
