It will focus on a number of thematic issues of materials: their physical properties, their histories, their environmental impacts, and their applications in making architecture, interiors and landscapes. Through activities of analysis, observation and research, you will discover materials’ tectonic ability to heighten the human experience of the spatial environments around us. As such, the unit aims to foster a spirit of enquiry into the creation of spatial environments. As a foundation unit for architecture, interior architecture, and landscape architecture students, it offers a broad view of the spatial disciplines and the materiality of their design and creation.","title-full":"DYB112 Spatial Materiality","title-short":"Spatial Materiality","url":{"current":"https://qutvirtual4.qut.edu.au/group/student/enrolment/units/unit?unitCode=DYB112&year=2022","prospective":"https://www.qut.edu.au/study/unit?unitCode=DYB112","timetable":"https://qutvirtual3.qut.edu.au/qvpublic/ttab_unit_search_p.process_teach_period_search?p_unit_cd=DYB112"},"year":2022,"years":[2022]}
