CRZ634 STEM Pedagogies

This unit will further develop your knowledge and skills in STEM in Education, in particular various inquiry-oriented pedagogies used in STEM classrooms. Productive work in the STEM fields is often associated with some form of problem solving, which is the basis for many inquiry-oriented pedagogies used in STEM classrooms. Through such learning approaches, students not only learn about STEM concepts and propose solutions but they also authentically develop the various high-order thinking skills. This unit will explore the similarities and differences between these various inquiry-oriented pedagogies, which will underpin activities in which you will design inquiry-oriented tasks for use in your STEM classroom and which are aligned to the relevant curriculum.
