This unit aims to build students' understanding of the various management control system alternatives used by management accountants to provide information to C-suite executives to help them make strategic decisions and take action. It covers leading-edge analytical tools and reports. The unit provides a critical review and deep analysis of these practices to understand important design and operational issues. Through discussion, workshops and real-life case studies, students will become more aware of and develop skills that help them design management control systems capable of building and maintaining sources of competitive advantage.
