Industry connections

We know what employers want in our graduates, because we ask them. Our courses are designed and reviewed in consultation with professionals to match changing industry needs. Our connections also mean many of our courses include work experience or opportunities to work on real projects, so that you graduate with the skills you'll need in your career.

Outstanding facilities

In recent years, more than $500 million has been spent to enhance lecture theatres, studios, laboratories and communal work spaces across our campuses to offer you the best environment for study and building your practical skills.

Global outlook

With our world-class courses and learning facilities, and programs for overseas exchange and engagement, you will be prepared to work in Australia and internationally.

Our researchers are working on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Australia and the global community, and their research is recognised as world standard. If you have a passion for discovery and innovation, a research degree can launch you into many exciting career options.

Convenient campuses

We have campuses at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove in central Brisbane. With high-quality academic, recreational and support facilities, our campuses are the perfect place to study.

The time of your life

Your time at university will be life changing. University is more than a place to learn, it's a whole new world of opportunity. You'll study in a culturally diverse and inclusive environment. We provide support, social activities and development opportunities to help you discover your place in the world and make the most of your time at university.

Real-world courses

As one of Australia's leading universities, QUT offers you a broad range of undergraduate degrees that helps you prepare for a successful career in a changing world. Our courses are up-to-date with flexible options tailored for your interests.

Flexible study options

By the time you graduate, there will be new careers that do not currently exist. Prepare for the future by developing a range of skills and knowledge both within your main interest area, and in other study areas.

To allow you to customise your study, many of our courses offer individual elective units, a minor (four units), or a second major (six to eight units). To take advantage of international employment opportunities, for example, you might combine engineering with a language minor and overseas exchange.

Find out about flexible study options in your preferred course by checking the online course information below.

Authentic learning experiences

We prepare you for your career by providing real-world learning experiences and opportunities to:

  • develop contacts in your chosen industry
  • put your education into practice
  • enhance your initiative
  • develop problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • get a taste of the real world of work in your chosen field.

Work-integrated learning is incorporated into all of our undergraduate courses. You can earn credit towards your course through:

  • organised placements
  • volunteering placements
  • projects with industry or community partners
  • site visits, study tours and other opportunities.

Additionally, our co-curricular work experience program gives you access to a suite of further not-for-credit placements to bolster your experience and real-world credentials.
